Nigerian winger Yira Sor has completed a move to Turkish Super Lig club Amedspor from Belgian side KRC Genk in a deal worth 3 million euros.
Amedspor, who are newly promoted to the Super Lig for the upcoming season, are coached by Besnik Hasi and paid the fee to secure the 26-year-old.
Speaking after the move, Sor said he is looking forward to the new chapter in Turkey. He noted the strong presence of Nigerian players in the Turkish league, mentioning captain Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Osimhen, and said facing his compatriots will be an enjoyable experience.
The winger also expressed delight at joining fellow Nigerian Gift Orban at the club. Orban recently joined Amedspor on a season-long loan from German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim, and the pair are expected to lead the club's attack.
