Galatasaray have received a major fitness boost as midfielder Gabriel Sara is now expected to be available for Tuesday’s Süper Lig match against Göztepe, despite recently suffering a left ankle injury on international duty with Brazil.
MRI scans had revealed damage to the medial and anterior lateral ligaments as well as bone edema, initially suggesting a recovery period lasting several weeks. However, Turkish sports outlet HT Spor reports that Sara is in a condition to feature against Göztepe on April 8, even while managing ongoing pain.
The Brazilian playmaker, valued at approximately €22 million, missed Galatasaray’s recent league match against Trabzonspor due to the injury. While he is not guaranteed to start, his potential availability even from the bench offers manager Okan Buruk a creative midfield option known for vision, passing, and set-piece delivery.
