Former Galatasaray forward Ümit Karan believes the Turkish champions would not be competing for the title if Victor Osimhen was not in the squad.
The ex-striker made the statement while speaking as a guest on the SporON YouTube channel in an interview published this week.
Karan argued that the Nigerian international has become the driving force of the team. According to him, Osimhen is effectively carrying Galatasaray on his own and the difference he makes is decisive. He stated that if the club did not have Osimhen, they would be sitting in sixth place in the Turkish Super Lig instead of challenging at the top.
Osimhen moved to Galatasaray from Italian side Napoli and has established himself as the club's leading attacker. Since joining, the Super Eagles forward has delivered consistent performances, scoring important goals and providing leadership in attack.
