A Galatasaray supporter has launched a blistering critique of the team’s over-dependence on Victor Osimhen, following a 2-1 loss to Trabzonspor on April 4, 2026.
The Nigerian striker missed that match due to injury, and his absence laid bare the team’s attacking frailties. In contrast, just weeks earlier on March 14, 2026, a fully fit Osimhen helped Galatasaray cruise to a dominant 3-0 home victory over İstanbul Başakşehir at RAMS Park.
That performance showcased what the team can achieve with their star forward on the pitch making the subsequent collapse against Trabzonspor all the more jarring for supporters.
In a passionate video rant, the fan wearing a Galatasaray jersey and scarf did not hold back. “Without Victor Osimhen, Galatasaray is underperforming every time,” he fumed. “Every single time Icardi and the Center Backs has the ball, they are not giving him the ball. When the winger cross the ball to box it doesn’t reach him.” He added.
“How many more times is this guy gonna keep wanting that ball and no one gives him enough service?” The supporter also criticized Mauro Icardi for slowing down with age and showing reduced mobility, while praising Osimhen’s leadership, relentless pressing, and ability to create chances out of nothing.
The 2-1 defeat to Trabzonspor on April 4 reportedly exposed deep-rooted tactical issues: poor attacking coordination, selfish decision-making, and an inability to service the front line.
