Galatasaray will be without striker Victor Osimhen and Gabriel Sara for their upcoming Süper Lig match against Göztepe on April 8, 2026, as confirmed by Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli.
The Nigerian forward suffered a fractured right forearm during Galatasaray’s Champions League round-of-16 second leg against Liverpool at Anfield in mid-March. Osimhen played through the first half in pain following an aerial challenge with Ibrahima Konaté but was substituted at halftime. He underwent successful surgery around March 23-24 and remains sidelined.
Midfielder Gabriel Sara’s availability is also uncertain. Sara sustained a left ankle sprain while on international duty with Brazil in early April during his first senior call-ups under the new setup. The injury occurred during a training session, and the club’s medical staff is still assessing his recovery timeline.
Galatasaray now face a key league fixture without their leading striker and potentially a key creative midfielder. The team will need to adjust its attacking setup as they push for results in the title race.
