Bayern Munich defeated Aston Villa 2-1 in a club friendly on August 7, 2026, at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. 

South Korean defender Kim Min-jae and Colombian forward Luis Díaz scored as the Bundesliga side prepared for the season ahead.

South Korean Kim Min-jae headed the opener in the 37th minute from a Tom Bischof free-kick assist. Colombian Luis Díaz added the second in the 73rd minute, assisted by Arijon Ibrahimovic. Brazilian midfielder João Gomes replied for Aston Villa in the 83rd minute, assisted by Lamare Bogarde. 

Bayern controlled possession and created more chances throughout, dominating the first half before Villa mounted a late push that fell short.

Bayern held 56 percent possession with eight shots on target to Villa’s three. As a pre-season fixture, neither side’s league standing, points total or goal difference applied.

Bayern Munich’s next match is a club friendly against RB Leipzig on August 15, 2026.
