Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen met with Nigerian artist Olaleye Abdullah, known online as Adisartz, in Lagos on Monday, 9 June 2026.

The meeting took place after a large-scale, hyper-realistic portrait of Osimhen created by Abdullah circulated widely on social media. Videos confirming the encounter began appearing online the same day, showing the footballer receiving the artwork directly from the artist.

During the meeting, Osimhen presented Abdullah with ₦5 million in cash. He also handed the artist a custom autographed football jersey. The striker initiated the gesture after seeing the portrait, which had gained attention for its detail and size. The cash and signed jersey were given to Abdullah at the time the artwork was delivered.

Abdullah confirmed that he produced the portrait of the Nigerian international, prompting the striker’s response.

Osimhen plays for Turkish club Galatasaray and represents Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles. The event links the footballer’s off-season activity in Nigeria to the viral spread of Abdullah’s work online.
