Victor Osimhen Connects With Nigerian Family in Istanbul, Galatasaray Sends Food

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker for Galatasaray, has met a Nigerian family living in Bağcılar, Istanbul. 

The meeting was reported by sports journalist Ali Naci Küçük and shared by Le Marca Sports. According to the report, Osimhen developed a strong connection with the family during the encounter.

Following the meeting, Galatasaray sent large quantities of food to the family. Le Marca Sports noted that “pots and pots of food have been sent to them from Galatasaray club” after Osimhen took a liking to the group. The club’s gesture was made at Osimhen’s request, according to the account attributed to Küçük.

The interaction occurred in Bağcılar, a district on Istanbul’s European side with a significant expatriate community. No specific date for the meeting was provided in the report. Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli and has been active in Turkish football since 2024, has frequently referenced his Nigerian heritage and family ties in public appearances.
