Ballon d'Or Market Update: Kane Edges Dembélé in June Polymarket Odds

Paris Saint-Germain retained the UEFA Champions League title on May 30, 2026, defeating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Puskás Aréna in Budapest. 

Ousmane Dembélé scored PSG’s equalizer from the penalty spot in the 65th minute. Two days later, on June 2, prediction market Polymarket posted updated Ballon d’Or 2026 odds reflecting post-final trading. The market shows Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane as the current favorite at 26%, with PSG’s Dembélé second at 23%. 

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal follows at 11%, while Kylian Mbappé and PSG’s Vitinha each hold 8%. The market has recorded $3.85 million in trading volume and resolves on December 31, 2026, based on the official Ballon d’Or winner announced by France Football.

Kane’s position is tied to his goal output during the 2025-26 season. Reports this week credit the England captain with 61 goals for Bayern Munich in domestic competition and 72 goals plus 8 assists for club and country overall. 

He has scored 31 goals in calendar year 2026, leading players in Europe’s top five leagues. Bayern won the Bundesliga and reached the Champions League semi-finals, where Kane scored in a 1-1 second leg against PSG. Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, added a second straight European title with PSG. His decisive penalty in the final kept PSG alive before their shootout victory. Other PSG players, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at 5% and Michael Olise at 3%, also appeas in the top ten.

The odds arrive ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup,Performances at the World Cup have historically influenced voter decisions. Dembélé has joined France’s camp, while Kane will lead England. 

Cristiano Ronaldo is listed at 2% in the Polymarket snapshot, with traders pricing a $1,000 “No” bet on him to return $1,020, reflecting a 98% implied probability he will not win.
