Ousmane Dembele has offered a candid update on his contractual situation at Paris Saint-Germain, suggesting that while he is happy in the French capital, the final decision on his long-term future lies elsewhere.

The French international winger clarified that he has adopted a hands-off approach to the negotiations, preferring to let the professionals handle the discussions.

"There's no reason not to stay at PSG," Dembele stated in a recent interaction, acknowledging his contentment at the club. However, he was to delineate his personal role in the process, adding, "but it's not me who negotiates and makes the decisions." The 28-year-old emphasized that this distance from the boardroom is a consistent part of his career philosophy. "I haven't been involved in contract negotiations since the start of my career; discussions for my contracts are between the club and my agent," he explained.

The comments, relayed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, place the ball firmly in the court of the PSG hierarchy and Dembele's representatives. Dembele indicates a desire to remain in Paris, it also serves as a public confirmation that formal talks are yet to conclude.
