Turkish journalist Mehmet Özcan has declared that Victor Osimhen is very happy at Galatasaray and the club has no intention of selling him this summer despite European interest.
Özcan, the long-time Galatasaray correspondent for Sabah newspaper and a regular analyst on A Spor, said the Nigerian forward has settled in Istanbul since his loan from Napoli. He reported that Osimhen enjoys strong support from the coaching staff, his teammates, and the fans, and views the Turkish champions as the ideal environment to maintain his form.
Speaking against Osimhen transfer rumors in Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona, Özcan insisted the speculation does not reflect reality. He told Peşindeyiz Galatasaray:
“Victor Osimhen is very happy at Galatasaray and the management has no intention of selling the player.” He explained that Galatasaray are calm because the player has not asked to leave and the board sees him as central to next season's plans.
The club is reportedly exploring ways to extend the loan or negotiate a permanent transfer with Napoli. Osimhen has scored consistently, linked well with Baris Alper Yilmaz, and helped keep Galatasaray top of the Super Lig.
