Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for April.
The nomination was announced on 14 May, placing the 28-year-old among six players recognised for their performances in England's second tier.
Onyeka has spent the second half of the season at Coventry City, joining the club on loan from Brentford in the January transfer window. He operates as a defensive midfielder and was a consistent figure for the Sky Blues during their promotion push.
In April 2026, Onyeka featured in three league matches as Coventry won the Championship title and secured a return to the Premier League. He registered one assist during the month, setting up Ephron Mason-Clark for a stoppage-time goal. The Nigerian international has made 14 league appearances for Coventry under head coach Frank Lampard since his arrival, recording one goal and one assist in total.
Onyeka will compete for the monthly honour against Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton, Portsmouth's Adrian Segečić, Wrexham midfielder Josh Windass, Norwich City forward Mohamed Touré and Swansea City striker Žan Vipotnik.
