Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has earned praise from Celtic great Packie Bonner after his late winner against Hibernian.
The 29-year-old was introduced in the 70th minute at Easter Road on Sunday and needed only two minutes to settle a tight Scottish Premiership contest, securing a 2-1 victory for the Glasgow side.
It was another decisive moment from the bench for Iheanacho, who has now scored seven times since arriving last year, with six of those goals coming as a substitute under manager Martin O'Neill.
During an interview with BBC sports, the former Celtic goal stopper said Celtic supporters were relieved to get the three points after making hard work of the game. Bonner described Iheanacho as a proven finisher whose main challenge remains completing 90 minutes, but he highlighted the quality of the strike.
"Iheanacho came off the bench and he's a proven striker. The big problem for him is lasting a full game but what an impact he made. The goal was really, really good," he said.
