Atlético Madrid is reportedly open to selling Nigerian international forward Ademola Lookman during the summer transfer window, less than five months after completing his move to Spain.
Reports in Spain, including a story carried by outlet Fichajes, state that manager Diego Simeone has authorized the club to listen to offers due to the player's difficulties adapting to Atlético's strict defensive organization and rigid tactical demands. The development would represent a rapid change in direction for a player unveiled as a long-term attacking addition in February.
Lookman, 28, joined Atlético from Atalanta in the winter window. The club announced an agreement for the Nigerian to sign a contract running until 30 June 2030. The deal was reported at around €40 million, described by the club's communications as pending a medical, with other outlets detailing the structure as a €35 million fixed fee plus €5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Atlético moved for Lookman following winter departures in the squad, including Giacomo Raspadori and Conor Gallagher, and after his profile rose following a hat-trick for Atalanta in the 2024 Europa League final.💥 Galatasaray ve Fenerbahçe, satış listesine konulan Ademola Lookman için devreye girebilir.
