Ousmane Dembélé announced the successful completion of France’s mission after Les Bleus defeated Brazil 2-1 in an international friendly on March 26, 2026.
The French forward shared a photo of himself in training kit on social media with the caption “The mission is complete,” accompanied by a blue heart and pointing emoji.
Dembélé started the game and played a key role in France’s opening goal. He provided the assist for Kylian Mbappé, who scored with a clinical chipped finish in the 32nd minute.
France added a second goal through Hugo Ekitiké and held on for the win despite being reduced to 10 men for much of the second half. Dembélé was substituted before the hour mark but appeared in good spirits post-match.
France’s next match is an international friendly against Ivory Coast on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:10 PM local time.
