Milan Škriniar, the Slovak defender and captain of Turkish Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe, has become the victim of a burglary at his villa in the Acarkent site, Beykoz district, Istanbul.
The incident was reported on April 10, 2026, after Škriniar discovered that approximately $40,000 in cash had been stolen from a chest of drawers on the second floor of his home.
According to local reports, the stolen amount includes roughly 26,000 USD, 4,400 euros, and 1,000 Turkish lira.
Police investigations have revealed that movers had recently visited the property for relocation purposes. Authorities believe the theft may have occurred during or shortly after their visit, though the exact timeline remains unclear. No other valuable items were reported missing, and Škriniar immediately filed a formal complaint with local law enforcement.
Police teams have launched an operation to identify and apprehend the suspect. Škriniar, 31, joined Fenerbahçe in 2025 after a long spell at Inter Milan, where he won the 2023–24 Serie A title. He also captains the Slovakia national team.
