Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has issued a heartfelt farewell to Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, both of whom will leave the club at the end of the 2025-2026 season after nine years together.
In a statement shared via DeMarkeSports, Van Dijk described their time at Anfield as “not just a chapter, but an entire era,” acknowledging that all good things must come to an end.
The Dutch defender emphasized how Salah and Robertson stood alongside the team at every peak and in every high-pressure moment. “Together we won everything, but beyond the trophies, the things we’ll remember most are the memories, the battles we fought, and the laughs we shared,” Van Dijk said.
Van Dijk concluded by calling the outgoing duo more than teammates. “You two were leaders, brothers, and the people we could always rely on in the most critical moments,” he added.
