Turkish football commentator Ugur Karakullukcu has criticized Galatasaray's current tactical setup around striker Victor Osimhen, arguing that the team structure does not support the Nigerian forward.
The comments were made on his YouTube program and were widely shared on social media platform X, where a translated clip circulated among Galatasaray supporters.
Karakullukcu said there is no suitable team structure for Osimhen at the moment at Galatasaray. He stated that three players in attack are playing individually rather than as a unit, and questioned the team's approach.
He also pointed to the fullbacks, describing them as too defensive, and said the club has moved into what he called a "weird place" tactically. According to him, while Galatasaray has tried to become more athletic, the team has lost its core qualities in the process.
Osimhen, 27, joined Galatasaray from Napoli and has been a central figure in the club's attack since the 2024-25 season. Galatasaray are the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions and are preparing for the 2025-26 campaign, which begins in August.
