Poland and Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw in an international friendly on Wednesday at PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw, Poland.

The match served as preparation for both teams ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures, with late drama ensuring neither side claimed victory in front of a capacity crowd.

Nigerian forward Moses Simon and Polish defender Kacper Potulski traded early strikes before second-half goals maintained the balance.

Moses Simon, the Nigerian winger, opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Kacper Potulski, the Polish centre-back, equalized in the 45+1st minute. Paul Onuachu, the Nigerian striker, restored the visitors’ lead from the penalty spot in the 77th minute. Przemysław Wiśniewski, the Polish defender, leveled the score in the 90+5th minute.

Poland enjoyed more possession in the first half, but Nigeria countered effectively; the second half was more open with both teams pushing for a winner in a back-and-forth contest.

Poland fielded a mix of experienced and young players, while Nigeria utilized squad depth. The draw extended recent patterns for both sides in non-competitive matches.
