Manchester United are weighing a move for an established centre-forward this summer, with Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen emerging as a priority target.

The 27-year-old Nigerian international helped the Istanbul club defend the Turkish Süper Lig title in the concluded season, registering 22 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. United, who finished third in the Premier League after improving their attacking output, are looking to add experience to support their young forward line.

According to the Nigerian sports report, Soccernet. The former Paris Saint-Germain defender Godwin Okpara has endorsed a Premier League switch for his compatriot.

Speaking in an interview published on 1 June, Okpara said he would prefer Osimhen to choose Old Trafford over other destinations. He argued that the striker has already tested himself in Belgium, France, and Italy, and that England would be the logical next step. Okpara added that United's style would suit Osimhen and provide an ideal platform to showcase his abilities.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in 2024 before completing a permanent transfer last summer. He is under contract with the Turkish champions until 2029, meaning any deal would require a significant fee. The striker previously played for Wolfsburg, Charleroi, Lille and Napoli, where he won the Serie A title in 2023.
