Armenia and Moldova played out a 1-1 draw in an international friendly on Tuesday at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
Armenian midfielder Artur Serobyan scored a late equalizer in the 89th minute, only for Moldovan midfielder Vadim Bogaciuc to respond almost immediately in the 90+1st minute.
The result reflected a tightly contested encounter between two sides seeking positive momentum ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.
Artur Serobyan of Armenia scored the opening goal in the 89th minute. Vadim Bogaciuc of Moldova equalized in the 90+1st minute, also without a confirmed assist.
The match flow featured a largely cagey and goalless first half with limited chances, followed by a more open second period where late fatigue and attacking intent led to both goals in stoppage time.
Armenia, currently ranked 106th in the FIFA world rankings, entered the friendly on the back of a recent 1-1 draw against Kazakhstan. Moldova, a lower-ranked side, had drawn 2-2 with Bulgaria days earlier.
Armenia’s next match is on September 25 against Latvia in the UEFA Nations League.
