USA Defeat Senegal 3-2 in International Friendly

The United States men’s national team defeated Senegal 3-2 in an international friendly on May 31, 2026, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

The match served as a key 2026 FIFA World Cup preparation game for the co-hosts USA against the strong African side. Both teams fielded competitive lineups ahead of the tournament.

Sergiño Dest (American) scored in the 6th minute assisted by Christian Pulisic. Christian Pulisic added a goal in the 19th minute assisted by Ricardo Pepi. Folarin Balogun netted in the 62nd minute. Sadio Mané (Senegalese) scored for Senegal in the 43rd minute. 

The USA dominated the first half with quick attacks, Senegal mounted pressure after halftime, but the hosts secured a narrow victory through clinical finishing.

The USA would face Germany on June 6, 2026, in their next friendly.
