Paris Saint-Germain players brought Presnel Kimpembe into their Champions League trophy celebrations after retaining the title against Arsenal on Saturday.
The French champions won 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time in the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30, 2026.
Kimpembe, who left PSG for Qatar SC in 2025, returned as the club’s ambassador for the match and carried the trophy onto the pitch before kick-off alongside Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. He stayed with the squad through the shootout and joined the post-match lift.
The moment repeated a gesture first seen at PSG’s maiden European triumph. On May 31, 2025, in Munich, PSG beat Inter Milan 5-0 to win the Champions League for the first time. During those celebrations, teammates surrounded Kimpembe then sidelined in a dark suit while recovering from an Achilles injury and guided his hands onto the trophy as they lifted it together.
