Myles Lewis-Skelly was named in Arsenal’s starting XI for the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.

The 19-year-old lined up in midfield alongside Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice, in a team that listed David Raya in goal and Kai Havertz leading the attack. Arsenal reached the final after defeating Atlético Madrid 2-1 on aggregate, while PSG advanced as holders following a 6-5 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich.

His inclusion made Lewis-Skelly the second-youngest Englishman ever to start a Champions League final. Only Trent Alexander-Arnold, who started Liverpool’s 2018 final against Real Madrid while still a teenager, was younger.

Lewis-Skelly was born on September 26, 2006, making him 19 years and eight months old on final day, while Alexander-Arnold was born on October 7, 1998 and had already become the first under-21 player to start consecutive finals in 2018 and 2019.

Earlier this season Lewis-Skelly became the second-youngest Englishman to start a Champions League quarter-final at 18 years and 194 days, behind only Jude Bellingham.

The Budapest final is Arsenal’s second appearance in the competition’s showpiece and their first since 2006, with the club pursuing its first European Cup. PSG entered as reigning champions.
