Arsenal forward Kai Havertz posted to supporters early Saturday, hours after the club's Champions League final loss, saying the season "didn't end in the way we all dreamed of" but that Arsenal "are still champions of England."

The message on Threads followed a 4-3 penalty shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30, one week after Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 22 years.

Havertz gave Arsenal a sixth-minute lead at the Puskas Arena, scoring from a tight angle on the left. Ousmane Dembele equalised for PSG in the second half, and the match finished 1-1 after extra time before PSG won the shootout when Gabriel missed the decisive kick.

In the Premier League, Arsenal clinched the 2025-26 title on May 19 after Manchester City drew 1-1 at Bournemouth, leaving the Gunners uncatchable. They finished on 85 points, seven clear of City, and lifted the trophy following a final-day 2-1 win at Crystal Palace.

Havertz said he was looking forward to celebrating with "thousands of fans tomorrow in North London." Arsenal will hold an open-top bus parade on Sunday, May 31, starting at 2 p.m. BST and traveling through Islington around Emirates Stadium.
