Galatasaray are expected to retain Davinson Sanchez and Lucas Torreira this summer, according to Turkish journalist Yakup Çinar.
Çinar said he believes both the Colombian centre-back and the Uruguayan midfielder will continue at the club, comments that were shared by Le Marca Sports. His assessment directly addresses persistent transfer speculation around the Turkish champions, with both players viewed as regular starters and core figures in Okan Buruk's squad.
Çinar pointed to Sanchez's contract and wages as the key factor. He stated that Sanchez extended his deal at the start of the season and is earning around 6 million euros per year, arguing that only a club in Saudi Arabia could afford that salary. Public salary databases list Sanchez on about 5.6 million euros annually, or 107,700 euros per week, on a long-term Galatasaray deal running to 2029. The 29-year-old joined from Tottenham in 2023 and has since become a mainstay in central defence.
Torreira's future has also drawn attention, with past reports linking him with a return to Italy. The midfielder joined Galatasaray from Arsenal in 2022, signing a four-year contract after loan spells at Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina.
