Galatasaray Rule Out €150m Osimhen Sale, VP Says No Talks Held

Galatasaray vice president Abdullah Kavukcu has publicly addressed the future of striker Victor Osimhen, stating he would personally reject a €150 million offer for the Nigerian international.

Speaking to Turkish media outlet NTVSpor and quoted by Fanatik on Sunday, May 11, Kavukcu said the final authority on any transfer rests with club president Dursun Ozbek and the board of directors. He confirmed that Osimhen remains a Galatasaray player and that the club has not engaged in any sale discussions.

Responding to a direct question about the rumoured valuation, Kavukcu said: "Would I sell Osimhen for 150 million euros? Speaking as Abdullah Kavukcu, I would not sell him, but the final decision belongs to our president and the board." He added that no formal approach has been received despite persistent links to Barcelona and other European clubs. "Currently, Osimhen is with us. We have not held any meetings regarding either a transfer or an offer. We haven't even looked at them," he said. Kavukcu acknowledged the striker's profile, noting that "naturally, everyone is keeping Osimhen under close observation anyway."

The comments come amid renewed speculation ahead of the summer window. Osimhen, 27, first joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli for the 2024-25 season before the Istanbul club made the move permanent last summer for a reported €75 million, a record fee for Turkish football.

He has since been central to the team's domestic dominance, leading Galatasaray to a fourth consecutive Süper Lig title this season and the club's historic 26th championship.
