Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara discussed his on-field relationship with teammate Victor Osimhen in a special interview with Turkish broadcaster A Spor on May 14.
The Brazilian, speaking at the club's facilities in Istanbul, addressed the dynamic between the pair as Galatasaray closed out a championship-winning campaign. The interview was broadcast as part of A Spor's end-of-season programming.
Sara said there is constant competition between him and Osimhen during training. "There's always a competition between Victor Osimhen and me; I love him a lot. Sometimes he annoys me, but he's an incredible person," he told the channel. Smiling, he described the Nigerian striker as his "biggest enemy" inside the squad before stressing his admiration.
Sara added that the dressing room wants Osimhen to remain in Istanbul: "We are praying for him to stay with us. We all definitely want him in our team. I hope he stays."
The comments followed Galatasaray's 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor on May 9, which secured a fourth consecutive Super Lig title and a record 26th league crown.
