Dublin-born winger Armstrong Oko-Flex is generating significant interest from the Republic of Ireland national team setup ahead of the next international window.

The 24-year-old, who plays as an explosive left winger, has been in strong form for Bulgarian champions Levski Sofia, pitching in key goals and assists during their title-winning campaign. Reports suggest Ireland coach Heimir Hallgrímsson is monitoring the player closely as a dynamic option on the flank.

Oko-Flex, born on March 2, 2002, in Dublin to a Nigerian father, boasts an impressive youth pedigree. He came through Arsenal’s academy before moving to Celtic, where he made senior appearances. Stints at West Ham United, Swansea City, FC Zürich, and Botev Plovdiv followed, before his January 2026 transfer to Levski Sofia for around €300,000.

This season in Bulgaria, he has impressed with pace, dribbling, and goal threat, helping Levski secure silverware and ending a long drought for the club.

Eligible for Nigeria, Ireland, and England at the senior level after representing Ireland and England at youth internationals, Oko-Flex represents a versatile attacking prospect.

Nigeria Football Federation scouts have also noted his performances as a potential replacement for Moses Simon in the Super Eagles setup. With no senior caps yet, the next international break could mark a pivotal moment in his international career as both nations evaluate his readiness.
