Al Qadsiah defeated league leaders Al-Nassr 3-1 in the Saudi Pro League on 3 May 2026 at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Dammam.
Saudi Arabian right-back Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat opened scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing a cross from Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah. Portuguese forward João Félix equalised for Al-Nassr in the 39th minute after a delivery from Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović. Saudi Arabian midfielder Musab Al-Juwayr restored the lead in the 57th minute, again converting Bonsu Baah's cross following a turnover by Brozović. Mexican striker Julián Quiñones sealed the result in the 78th minute, exploiting space on a counterattack without an assist. The hosts controlled the first half, absorbed pressure after the break, and finished stronger to secure a comeback victory.
The result left Al Qadsiah fourth in the table with 65 points from 30 matches before kick-off, according to standings, and a goal difference of plus 40. After the victory they moved to 68 points, keeping pressure on third Al-Ahli.
Al-Nassr remained top despite the defeat, staying on 79 points from 31 matches with a plus-60 goal difference. The Riyadh club had entered the weekend six points clear of Al-Hilal, who sat second on 74 points.
Al Qadsiah extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches this season, while Al-Nassr suffered their fourth loss of the campaign. Quiñones increased his league tally to 24 goals, with Félix reaching 13 for the season. Both clubs remain in contention for AFC Champions League qualification spots this spring.
Al-Nassr will visit Al-Shabab on 7 May 2026 at Al-Shabab Club Stadium in Riyadh for their next Saudi Pro League fixture.
