Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha, 17, has described the club as “the biggest in the world” following his impressive start to life on Merseyside.
The England youth international, who joined Liverpool’s academy from Chelsea in September 2024, has already broken records becoming the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer at 16 years and 361 days with a stoppage-time strike against Newcastle United. He recently netted his first Anfield goal in a Premier League match against Fulham.
Speaking in comments shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ngumoha expressed gratitude for the early trust shown in him. “It’s great to start so young and the manager and all the players having belief in me,” he said. “I’ve just got to keep working hard.” The right-footed winger or attacking midfielder, standing at 5 ft 7 in, is known for his pace, dribbling, and finishing.
Born in Havering, London, on 29 August 2008, Ngumoha has risen through Liverpool’s ranks. His mature performances and attacking versatility have drawn praise from teammates and staff, positioning him as one of the Premier League’s most promising young talents.
