José Mourinho has ruled out a return to Real Madrid, insisting his only priority is securing Champions League football for Benfica.

The 62-year-old Portuguese coach responded to questions about the Spanish club this week by shutting down the speculation. "My next goal is to get Benfica to the Champions League. If we win the next three matches, we'll play in Europe's biggest competition. That's the only thing on my mind," Mourinho said, in comments shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Mourinho is back at Benfica 25 years after his first spell as head coach in 2000, and he has taken charge during a tight race for qualification in Portugal. With three Primeira Liga games left, Benfica need maximum points to guarantee a top-two finish and automatic entry into next season's Champions League.

The club has struggled for consistency domestically but delivered a statement result in Europe in January, beating Real Madrid 4-2 in Lisbon with a dramatic stoppage-time header from goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin. Mourinho, who has previously won league titles with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, has repeatedly called the Champions League "the biggest competition" in club football.

The remarks come as Mourinho continues to be linked with major jobs across Europe, including a second stint at Madrid where he coached from 2010 to 2013. For now, he says his future is tied to Benfica's final push. With Porto and Sporting also in contention.
