Paris FC winger Moses Simon has set a new benchmark for Nigerian players in Europe’s top five leagues. The 30-year-old now holds the record for most career assists, reaching 42 after a key pass against AS Monaco on April 11, 2026.
Simon’s decisive cross for Jonathan Ikoné in the 4-1 home victory moved him past all previous Nigerian marks. His total combines 38 assists in Ligue 1 for Nantes and Paris FC with four more from a prior La Liga spell at Levante, overtaking names like Alex Iwobi.
The Super Eagles star began in Slovakia, then moved through Gent and Levante before thriving at Nantes for six seasons. After winning the 2022 Coupe de France there, he joined Paris FC in July 2025. He also recently became only the second Nigerian after John Utaka to reach 200 Ligue 1 appearances.
