Galatasaray vice president Metin Öztürk criticized Trabzonspor and broadcaster beIN SPORTS following his club’s key Super Lig loss.
Öztürk stated that from the moment they arrived, his team was subjected to constant swearing and vulgar chants, with no official welcome or farewell from the host club. He added that the offensive chants continued even after the match ended in an empty stadium.
Öztürk specifically accused beIN SPORTS of failing to mute the abusive audio during the live broadcast. "They've been swearing at us since we arrived. Even right now, vulgar chants about us are still playing. The broadcaster didn't mute the sound either. Shame on them!" he said.
Trabzonspor has dismissed the complaints as an attempt to deflect attention from Galatasaray’s own alleged player-poaching efforts.
