Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen has resumed running as part of his recovery from a fractured right forearm.
The Nigerian forward underwent surgery in mid-March after sustaining the injury during a Champions League match against Liverpool and was initially ruled out for five to six weeks.
Speaking to the media on April 8, Buruk reported that Osimhen is unlikely to be available for the upcoming weekend fixture. Yet, he added that the 27-year-old could return to the squad for the match against Gençlerbirliği the following week, provided his rehabilitation continues under favorable conditions.
Osimhen began running drills with the physiotherapist on April 7, as announced by the club. Buruk, who has coached Galatasaray since 2022, remains cautious but optimistic, with a potential return in late April marking roughly six weeks since the forward’s surgery.
