Selçuk İnan, the current Kocaelispor head coach and former Galatasaray captain, has issued a pointed response to recent criticism.
Speaking on his record at the club where he played 2011–2020, İnan reminded fans that he is the player with the most appearances on the team’s home field and won 15 trophies during his career.
“I am criticized when I stay silent,” İnan said. “I have never disrespected anyone. No matter how Galatasaray fans treat me, they will always have a place above my head.” The 41-year-old, known for his leadership and set-piece expertise, made it obvious he will not accept unfair treatment despite his legendary status at the club.
İnan concluded with a calm but firm message: “Those who do not show me affection, may they be well.” The statement reflects a measured stance from the former midfielder, who now manages Kocaelispor in the TFF 1. Lig, while reaffirming his deep respect for the Galatasaray community.
