Ademola Lookman delivered a composed post-match interview following Atlético Madrid’s solid performance against FC Barcelona at Spotify Camp Nou.
The Nigerian forward started the match and played the first hour, contributing to a rare clean sheet away from home. He was substituted for Sørloth before Atlético’s second goal, but his defensive and tactical work helped set the tone. While Lookman has scored against Barça earlier this season including in the Copa del Rey he did not find the net in this Champions League tie.
Speaking after the match, Lookman said: “Very, very happy with the result. Good performance from everyone too. It’s never easy to come away from here with a clean sheet.”
He emphasized the team’s resilience, adding: “We know there will be difficult moments, but staying together and getting through those moments together… today we did that and it was great.” He also praised Atlético’s traveling supporters for their energy from the hotel to the stadium.
