Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Arda Turan has given Galatasaray forward Ahmed Kutucu high praise, describing him as a uniquely talented player capable of operating across multiple attacking positions.
Speaking in comments picked up by Turkish sports media, the 39-year-old former Galatasaray captain reported that while Kutucu can play as a striker, the club still needs a dedicated centre-forward to complement him. “Kutucu is a player who can play in all positions,” Turan said. The 26-year-old, who joined Galatasaray from Eyüpspor in January 2025 for €6 million, has already shown his value with prolific scoring form in the previous season.
Turan added that he challenges Kutucu daily when the forward is not performing at his best, emphasising the player’s importance. “He has a reaction ability that no player in Turkey possesses,” Turan stated. Kutucu, a Germany-born Turkish international, currently wears the number 21 shirt for the Süper Lig leaders.
