Liverpool manager Arne Slot has called on his players to use their past heartbreak as fuel ahead of their critical Champions League Round of 16 clash against Galatasaray.
The Reds return to RAMS Park this Tuesday, the same venue where they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat during the league phase last September. That loss, decided by a Victor Osimhen penalty, remains a point of reflection for Slot as he marks his 100th game in charge of the club.
''We've already lost against them [Galatasaray}, so that tells you how difficult of game it is for us''

Speaking during the conference, Slot emphasized that the intimidating atmosphere in Istanbul was a significant factor in their previous struggle. "The whistling is so loud... it was new for me and even for all of my experienced players," Slot remarked, describing the environment as a "wall of sound." He noted that having already experienced the unique intensity of the Turkish fans should leave his squad better prepared to focus on the eleven players on the pitch rather than the noise in the stands.
