Galatasaray media has reportedly revealed the actual date of Victor Osimhen’s return following the arm injury he sustained at Anfield.
The Nigerian striker suffered a fractured right forearm during Galatasaray’s Champions League clash against Liverpool on March 18, 2026, after a collision with defender Ibrahima Konaté. According to updates from Turkish sources, the player has since traveled to Nigeria and is expected back in Istanbul within the next three to four days.
According to Forza Cimbom, the Galatasaray forward is currently recovering after his arm was placed in a cast. Haluk Yürekli, speaking via the platform, confirmed that Osimhen left for Nigeria following the incident and will return to Turkey shortly. “A cast has been put on Osimhen’s arm. He went to Nigeria. He will return in 3-4 days,” Yürekli stated, adding that further assessments will be conducted upon his arrival in Istanbul.
The injury occurred early in the first half at Anfield when Konaté landed on Osimhen’s arm during an aerial duel. Despite visible pain and having his arm bandaged, the forward continued playing until being substituted at halftime.
