Dursun and Osimhen speak against the English side

Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen reportedly demanded an increase in his performance bonus if he helps Galatasaray defeat Liverpool in their UEFA Champions League knockout clash.

The Nigerian striker was determined to motivate the team ahead of the crucial encounter, as Galatasaray aimed to gain an advantage against the Premier League side in the first leg of the Round of 16 at Rams Park.

According to a Turkish report by journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Victor Osimhen requested an additional €5 million bonus if he leads Galatasaray to victory over the English club. The report added that Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek accepted the proposal, agreeing to reward the squad if they successfully overcome Liverpool in the European tie. The decision reportedly boosted morale within the team ahead of the high-profile match.

Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s 1–0 victory, providing the decisive contribution early in the match. The Nigerian striker assisted Mario Lemina in the seventh minute, setting up the midfielder to score the only goal against Liverpool. Osimhen completed the full 90 minutes, recording one assist and four shots as Galatasaray secured an important first-leg advantage.
