Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman is taking part in a unique crossover between football and entertainment, featuring in a promotional campaign for the upcoming Netflix film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
The Super Eagles star, alongside Atlético Madrid teammates Antoine Griezmann and Koke, stars in a short promotional video embracing the gritty 1940s aesthetic of the Shelby gangster series.
The collaboration extends beyond the screen, as Lookman and his teammates will be escorted onto the pitch by actors dressed as Peaky Blinders characters ahead of Atlético’s La Liga clash against Getafe on March 14, 2026. The Cívitas Metropolitano stadium will also feature themed branding, with fans receiving flatcaps and replica newspapers styled after the era to enhance the matchday atmosphere.
According to the report, Lookman is not appearing as a character in the actual film. Instead, his involvement highlights a growing trend of clubs leveraging high-profile entertainment partnerships to engage fans.
