Following the Africa Cup of Nations training camp in Morocco, Victor Osimhen has spoken ahead of the Super Eagles' preparations to face fellow African nations in the highly anticipated tournament. The Nigerian striker expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, noting the positive atmosphere in camp as players intensify preparations for the challenges ahead.

Speaking to Nigerian journalist Kelechi on Sporty TV, Osimhen revealed how national team coach Eric Chelle is ensuring that training sessions are properly organized and highly productive. “The coach is doing an amazing job, and the team is all preparing for the upcoming match,” he stated while observing his teammates train on the pitch. Osimhen praised Chelle’s attention to detail and man-management, adding that the coaching staff has created a disciplined but motivating environment that allows players to perform at their best.

Osimhen also recalled a painful moment from the same country, where DR Congo secured a draw that resulted in Nigeria failing to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Reflecting on the setback, he said, “Last month was very disappointing for us. Those days have passed, but the memory remains.” He assured fans that the disappointment has been transformed into renewed motivation. “The high spirit is still with us. I believe in the coach and the staff, and we are not underestimating any team in our group. It will not be easy, and we still have a long way to go,” Osimhen added.

The Galatasaray forward further confirmed that he is fully fit and ready to give his best for the Super Eagles, pledging commitment and hard work as Nigeria aims for success at the Africa Cup of Nations.
