Galatasaray Move for Onyedika Gains Momentum as Brugge Urge New Contract

Onyedika Galatasaray movement

Galatasaray have renewed their interest in Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, who has been one of Club Brugge’s most consistent performers this season. The 24-year-old has developed a reputation for his strong defensive work rate, ball recovery, and ability to control the midfield. His rise in Belgium has drawn attention from several European clubs, but Galatasaray seems to be the side pushing for his transfer to Turkey.

According to Voetbalnieuws, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has been tracking Onyedika and considers him a key target to strengthen the midfield. The club’s pursuit has gained extra momentum as Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly supporting the transfer and might try to personally persuade Onyedika to make the move.

The club’s technical director, Dévy Rigaux, recently expressed optimism that Onyedika will sign a new long-term contract and remain part of their project for many years. Rigaux made it clear that a transfer is not currently on the agenda, signaling that any move for the Nigerian international would require significant effort from Galatasaray.
