Following the Manchester City vs Fulham match, sources reveal Portuguese manager Marco Silva’s words, which, when properly interpreted, express regret that his own club, Fulham, did not acquire the newly signed Nigerian AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze.
According to Fulham journalist Jack Kelly, who shared the direct speech made by coach Silva on his Twitter handle, Silva reportedly stated, “Very happy with Chukwueze, it was a matter of time, we need him at his best level, performance-wise and physically. He had a very good impact on the game. I’m very pleased for him. I would have preferred to have had Chukwueze earlier, in pre-season.” Kelly revealed that Silva was actually reflecting on how beneficial Chukwueze would have been for Fulham.
Chukwueze, who has made a total of nine appearances in the English club, netting four goals and providing three assists in the current season, has affirmed the kind of impact that made the Portuguese manager believe he should have been the primary choice of all pre-season transfer targets for Fulham.
