Nigerian international defender Ola Aina has provided a significant boost to Nottingham Forest, returning to training just days after their impressive 3–0 victory over Liverpool. Aina's journey back to fitness follows a long lay-off after he sustained a severe hamstring injury while on international duty in September.

The injury required him to undergo a successful surgery soon after. His return to the grass, initially with medical and sports science staff, marks a crucial step in his rehabilitation, with the full-back now snapped participating in light drills as he intensifies his final push for a full-squad return.

The versatility and athleticism of the Nigerian defender were sorely missed by Forest. The former Chelsea and Torino man, who was absent when Forest secured their famous win over Liverpool at Anfield, has now been seen on a trajectory to potentially participate in the club's upcoming fixture. His eventual full return will be a huge lift for Forest, offering manager Sean Dyche a vital option in stabilizing the back line as they navigate the demanding winter schedule.
