Lookman Stars in Atalanta's Dominant Champions League Victory

Following the international break for the World Cup Qualifiers, Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman showcased a commendable performance in Atalanta's victory in the UEFA Champions League. Lookman initiated the scoring with a decisive left-footed volley in the 60th minute at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany. He subsequently demonstrated his playmaking ability by providing two assists.


Under their new coach, Raffaele Palladino, the Atalanta team secured a perfect 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt. The remaining goals were scored by Éderson and Charles De Ketelaere in a devastating five-minute second-half spell. Palladino, who was appointed on November 11, 2025, secured his first win as Atalanta boss, showcasing the team's strong offensive capabilities away from home.


Speaking after the match, Ademola analyzed the perfect end to the game, stating, “We showed the DNA in the first half, we tried and made lots of chances, and it was difficult to score in the first half. “Obviously the Mister came in at half time, so we just stayed patient and goals did arrive; however, we scored very quickly,” he added. Lookman’s performance a goal and an assist was pivotal in securing a crucial three points for the Italian side.
