Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has officially announced the return of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen to the squad just ahead of their highly anticipated derby match against fierce rivals Fenerbahçe.
The club leader confirmed the positive news, stating that all injured players, including Osimhen, would return to the lineup. Özbek emphasized the team's solidity, declaring, “Galatasaray is strong enough to overcome injuries, referee decisions, and betting scandals. Galatasaray will show its on-field performance on Monday. Our fans shouldn't worry.”
Victor Osimhen, who had sustained a hamstring injury during the recent international period, is now fit to participate. He had been away while qualifying for the World Cup final with Gabon. Confirming his availability, President Dursun Özbek added, “Osimhen will be in the squad. That was the goal. Other players returning from injuries will also most likely be in the squad. We will take the field with an outstanding team.” This signals that Galatasaray will field their strongest available lineup for the pivotal derby.
