Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is not close to joining Galatasaray, with the Brazil international having no plans to move to Turkey in the current transfer window.

The update was provided on Thursday, August 14, 2026, by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. In a post on X, Romano stated that Martinelli has never considered a switch to Turkey at this stage of his career as a realistic option and that nothing is expected to happen in the coming weeks involving Turkish clubs.

The report was credited to Sportpusula and aligns with separate reporting by David Ornstein. Galatasaray had been linked with a bid in the region of £38 million to £45 million for the 24-year-old, but Martinelli has made clear he does not intend to leave the Premier League club now.

The winger remains under contract at Arsenal until 2027, with an option to extend for a further year, and continues to be part of Mikel Arteta's first-team plans.
