Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has shared a light-hearted story about his former teammates, Nigeria internationals Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, during a local 9ja podcast appearance.
Vardy, who departed Leicester after 13 years at the club earlier in 2026, was reflecting on life in the Foxes dressing room and his relationship with the Super Eagles pair who spent several seasons alongside him at the King Power Stadium. The comments were made as he looked back on the team's culture and camaraderie during his time at the club.
According to Vardy, both Ndidi and Iheanacho had an unusual approach to dealing with minor injuries. He said the two players would occasionally travel back to Nigeria for a single day after picking up what he described as small knocks, then return to England with a large tub of cream.
Vardy referred to the substance as "juju cream" and said it was presented as having been obtained from a traditional healer in Nigeria. He added that the cream was the only product the club's massage therapists were permitted to apply to the affected areas during their recovery process.
